🟣 How to Actually Use It (Step by Step)

  1. Download the Launcher:
    Go to the official Shadow Slime website and click Download Launcher to get the latest AmongUsLauncher.exe.
  2. Run as Administrator:
    Right-click the launcher and choose Run as administrator.
    This is required so the launcher can install/update the game and create shortcuts.
    If Windows asks for permission, click Yeas.
  3. Launcher Startup:
    When you start the launcher, it will:
    - Check for updates to itself and update if needed.
    - Show a message from Shadow (if available).
    - Start Discord Rich Presence.
  4. First-Time Setup / Installing the Game:
    If Among Us is not installed:
    - The launcher will say the game isn’t found and ask if you want to download it.
    - Type yes and press Enter.
    - It will ask where to install the game:
      â€˘ Press Enter to use the default folder (recommended).
      â€˘ Or type a custom folder path and press Enter.
    - The launcher will download and extract the latest version for you.
    - When done, you’ll see a success message.
  5. Main Menu Options:
    After setup, you’ll see a menu like this:
    [1] Run Game [2] Exit [3] YouTube [4] Discord
    [5] Create a Shortcut [6] Open Folder
    [7] Reinstall Among Us [8] Uninstall
    • 1. Run Game: Launches Among Us.
    • 2. Exit: Closes the launcher.
    • 3. YouTube: Opens the Shadow Slime YouTube channel.
    • 4. Discord: Opens the Discord server invite.
    • 5. Create a Shortcut: Puts a shortcut to Among Us on your desktop.
    • 6. Open Folder: Opens the folder where the game is installed.
    • 7. Reinstall Among Us: Redownloads and reinstalls the game (use if you have problems).
    • 8. Uninstall: Removes the game and all launcher data from your PC.
  6. Updating the Game:
    Every time you start the launcher, it checks for new versions.
    If an update is found, it will ask if you want to update.
    Type yes and press Enter to update.
    The launcher will download and install the update for you.
  7. Uninstalling:
    Choose option 8 from the menu.
    Type yes to confirm.
    The launcher will delete the game and its data.
  8. Discord Rich Presence:
    If you have Discord running, your status will show you’re using the launcher.
    If you see a warning about pypresence, you can install it with:
    pip install pypresence (optional, for advanced users).
  9. Troubleshooting:
    • No Internet? The launcher needs internet to download and update the game.
    • Permissions? Always run as administrator.
    • Game not launching? Try reinstalling (option 7).
    • Need help? Join the Discord server.
